Mohegan Sun Casino - Sr. Software Architect

Collaborated on a strategy of rapidly pruning technology that had gone bad resulting in a significant savings in licensing fees. Successfully advocated that the Pocono Downs Casino adopt an IBM infrastructure that mirrored Mohegan Sun's allowing both Casinos to begin a process of mutually advantageous development that could be further cloned.

Significant savings ensued by the elimination of unneeded maintenance contracts and more. Significant progress was and is being achieved despite deeply entrenched, reluctant IT resources.

Created an architectural framework for existing casino technologies and yearly roadmaps for future product development that included a yearlong upgrade effort that brought the Casino software infrastructure up to date and far more efficient. Introduced SOA, Jira, Drools, Spring, Ice Faces, Java 5, Websphere Servers 7.x, DB2 9.x, MULE, Alfresco, and numerous superior development practices to the Casino.

Coded and disseminated reference models for the refactoring of existing code, introductions to Java 5/6, Spring framework, Hadoop, Drools, and Mule. Created an information model for capturing customer preferences toward creating an ambient dataStore.
